Welcome to live event illustration by Shaina Bains. Using my signature fashion illustration style, I’m able to capture your guests in a unique and exciting way. Providing the perfect keep sake for them to take home as well as a truly memorable experience. A traditional yet contemporary twist to capturing those special moments.

I provide live fashion illustration at fashion, beauty and personal events. I illustrate each guest completely by hand, personalised to the guest, making it a truly unique experience and gift.
Using my all time favourite mediums – watercolour paints and black Indian ink, I am able to capture your guests in a flattering and painterly style. Providing a great talking point for events as well as a memento of your event or brand.
Aside from drawing people, I am able to illustrate a number of other items including beauty products, footwear and food and drink. I am also able to draw and paint on most surfaces including cosmetic packaging, perfume bottles and canvas material.

All A5 (14.8 x 21 cm) size portraits take 8-10 minutes per person and I offer both portrait or full length illustrations. I take a quick snap of your guests ready to illustrate or your guests are welcome to pose and have a little chat with me whilst I work, or, after the initial sketch is taken, they are free to continue with their evening and collect their portraits before leaving the event.
I will supply paper and all materials for personal occasions such as weddings and parties but for all corporate events I do request that branded paper and packaging is provided on the day of the event.
Due to the nature of the materials used, I will need to be seated and require a solid table and chair to base myself at whilst working.
Good lighting is also essential so that I am able to see and draw your beautiful illustrations for you.

I'm currently based in Leicester in the East Midlands but I do travel for work. Please note that there will be no extra charge for all travel within Leicester, however, for all events outside of Leicester, please contact me for more details.
Please note that all artwork created at these events remains the IP of Shaina Bains and are personal gifts only. The artwork may not be modified, used to create derivative works or used for any type of resale or commercial gain. However, the artwork may be uploaded onto social media crediting and tagging me.
LIVE ILLUSTRATION AT YOUR WEDDING/EVENT
A live illustrator at your wedding is the perfect way to capture the special moments from your big day. Your wedding guests can have their very own customised fashion illustration painted whilst dressed in their best, making it a truly memorable experience for all. Not forgetting the most important couple of the day, the bride and groom, who will receive their very own illustrations too! ALTERNATIVELY...
As an alternative service to live illustration at your wedding/event, I am now offering fashion illustrations of your guests after the event is over. For this service, I’d require either full length or portrait style photos of guests from the wedding or day of emailed to me. These would then be illustrated as A5 size portraits in your requested style. This would allow for a larger quantity of portraits to be created, meaning that no one misses out! Providing the perfect keepsake for all. In terms of timing, I aim to get these portraits completed and sent off within 1-2 weeks of receiving images.
